Effects of Organic and Inorganic Fertilizers on Soil Nutrient Conditions in Rice Fields with Varying Soil Fertility

The majority of crop-growing areas in China have low or medium fertility levels, which limits the yield crops grown those areas. Fertilizer application can improve soil quality, but effects such treatments vary depending on base fertility. However, specific differences associated with different fertilizer types to soils varying levels yet be clearly delineated. Here, influences several physical, chemical, and biological indicators were assessed rice fields red area Hunan Province levels: Hehua (low fertility), Dahu (medium Longfu (high fertility). Four applied these fields: no fertilizer, standard 60% chemical + 40% organic 100% fertilizer. Across three sites treatment groups, largest increases total nitrogen phosphorus contents Longfu, respectively. Soil matter content increased most significantly Hehua. Application any type fast-acting nutrient low-yielding fields, whereas fertilizers more than alone did; effect combined enzyme activity was also higher that alone. Overall, experiments provide a theoretical basis technical support for rational improvement Hunan’s quality based natural levels.
